Mahogany Raised Panel Doors
These mahogany doors are beautifully crafted in genuine mahogany solids, not veneered or composition materials. They are built the olde time way, mortised and tenoned and doweled to last forever! This is the way doors were built 100 years ago!
We got them at a very low price because we couldn't pass up a great deal on a quality product and we are passing the savings on to you.
What would a solid Brazilian mahogany door do to increase the curb-appeal of the house your trying to sell, or how happy would your doctor client be if you upgraded the doors for his medical office to these fabulous solid Brazilian mahogany doors?
This is not a veneered particleboard product...all solid timber, mortise and tenoned together and doweled. Doors can be prehung in solid 1 1/4” jambs. Jamb material is either pressure treated pine or solid mahogany so it is built to last. Glass openings are not glazed , but do have the mitred mahogany trim to receive your glass. Panels are made of solid wood (not veneered material) and are color matched , without defects. You won't see knots, or ugly sapwood!
AFTER FITTING THE DOOR TO YOUR OPENING, THE DOOR SHOULD BE SPONGE COATED WITH “WOODLIFE”® CLASSIC CLEAR WOOD PRESERVATIVE (AVAILABLE AT ACE HARDWARE STORES). A THOROUGH SOAKING WITH THE WOOD LIFE INTO JOINTS TOP, BEHIND MOULDINGS, THE WOODLIFE® WILL PENETRATE INTO THE WOOD TO HELP PREVENT ANY END SPLIT, WARPAGE OR ROT. THEN YOU CAN PRIME AND PAINT OR STAIN AND VARNISH AS YOU DESIRE. THIS MATERIAL CAN BE APPLIED EASILY WITH RUBBER GLOVES AND A SPONGE. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ALL MANUFACTURES DIRECTIONS AND READ ALL WARNINGS.
PILOT HOLES SHOULD BE DRILLED FOR ALL WOOD SCREWS. FAILING TO DRILL FIRST WILL CAUSE THE WOOD TO SPLIT. FAILING TO DRILL MAKES THE SCREW HOLD 30% WEAKER ! USING THE PROPER SIZE PRE-DRILL MAKES IT EASIER TO RUN IN SCREWS AND MAKES THE SCREWS HOLD BETTER!
